Privacy Policy

GoalMint is a fully offline app. We collect only the information you voluntarily enter into the app to power your savings plan.

Your data is used exclusively to operate the app features you see on screen:

• Calculate your monthly, weekly, and daily savings targets using the PlanGenerator algorithm
• Track progress toward each savings goal you create
• Generate personalized insights based on your income and expense ratio
• Display your financial summary on the Profile screen
• Restore your goals and settings when you reopen the app

All of this computation happens locally on your device. No data is transmitted to any server, analytics platform, or third party.

GoalMint stores all your data using Android DataStore — a local key-value storage system built into your device's private app directory. This data is:

• Private to the app — other apps on your phone cannot access it
• Stored only on your device — not backed up to any cloud unless you have enabled Android's automatic app data backup in your device settings
• Deleted when you uninstall the app or use the "Reset App Data" option in the Profile screen

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with anyone — period.

GoalMint has no backend server, no analytics SDK, no advertising network, and no third-party SDKs that access your financial data. The complete list of external libraries used by the app is:

• Jetpack Compose — Google's UI toolkit (open source, no data collection)
• AndroidX Navigation — screen routing (no data collection)
• AndroidX DataStore — local storage (no data collection)
• Material 3 — UI components (no data collection)

None of these libraries transmit data about you or your usage to any external service.

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Access — all your data is visible directly in the app (Dashboard, Profile, Goal Detail screens)
• Edit — update your income, expenses, and goals at any time from within the app
• Delete individual goals — tap the delete icon on any Goal Detail screen
• Delete everything — use "Reset App Data" in the Profile screen to permanently erase all your data from the device instantly
• Uninstall — uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored data

Because we hold no data on any server, there is no account to delete and no data retrieval request needed — everything is already in your hands.

GoalMint is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data stays on the device and we collect no personally identifiable information, GoalMint poses minimal privacy risk for any age group. If you are a parent and have concerns, please contact us.

If we update this Privacy Policy, the updated version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Since GoalMint collects no personal data from users, any future changes are likely to be structural (such as adding new features that remain offline) rather than substantive. Should we ever introduce any feature that requires data transmission, we will update this policy prominently before releasing that feature.
